Best Betting Apps in Ireland 2026

Of the best betting apps Ireland has right now, Inky.bet Sport comes first in my October 2026 tests. I asked for a €50 withdrawal and it reached me 11 minutes later, the fastest payout I recorded at the seven bookmakers I tested with money.

Keep in mind that Inky.bet doesn’t cover GAA or horse racing. If those are your sports, Festival Play Sport is the pick for GAA and Puntit Sport for racing, and both are in the top five.

Only Puntit has an app you can download, and only from the App Store on iPhone. The other seven run as mobile sites in your phone’s browser, and each review says which one you’re getting.

Best Betting Apps in Ireland

I rank the apps on payout speed, market depth, in-play performance and how easy they are to use on a phone. Payout speed is why the order looks the way it does: Festival Play and Puntit are the best here for GAA and racing, but their withdrawals were the two slowest in the top five, at about 12 and 52 hours.

Inky.bet Sport

Inky.bet paid out faster than any other bookmaker I tested. I deposited €50 by Visa debit, passed a two-hour identity check and asked for €50 back in Bitcoin. The request was approved straight away and the money arrived 11 minutes later. Placing a bet was quick too: 50 seconds from opening the site to a confirmed bet.

There’s no store app, so all of this happened in the browser. The site prompts you to add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android, and it then opens full-screen.

Football is where Inky.bet is strongest, as it listed 995 football events, had the best price on both teams in my Coventry City v Newcastle United comparison, and its Global Express Boost adds up to 100% to acca winnings.

There’s no GAA and no horse racing, only virtual races, and Apple Pay works for deposits only. Open Inky.bet if you bet mainly on football and want your winnings back fast. For GAA, Festival Play covers what Inky.bet doesn’t.

Pros Cons

Fastest payout in my tests: 11 minutes from request

No GAA or horse racing

995 football events and acca boosts of up to 100%

Hiperwin’s bet slip confirmed my in-play bets in about four seconds, the quickest I measured. A bet that goes through that fast is less likely to be knocked back because the price moved. That was on the mobile site, as Hiperwin has no app.

Its Expert Tips panel puts form stats beside the prices: on Coventry City v Newcastle United, it showed Newcastle’s average of 4.4 corners over their last five league games next to the corner markets.

Payouts were quick as well. I deposited €50 by debit card after a three-hour identity check, and withdrawals to MiFinity and crypto both arrived within three hours. Hiperwin won’t pay out to a card, even one you deposited with, and bank transfers take up to 48 hours with a €50 minimum.

It has no GAA or horse racing, so it suits football, tennis and other international sport. It also has no sports welcome offer at the moment; the €200 bonus it advertises is for the casino. Hiperwin is the one to open if most of your betting happens while the match is on.

Pros Cons

In-play bets confirmed in about four seconds

No card withdrawals

No GAA, no horse racing and no sports welcome offer

MiFinity and crypto payouts within three hours

Betibet Sports

Betibet is built for accumulators: its combo boost adds up to 70% to football, tennis and basketball accas, and match pages split markets into tabs such as goalscorers, corners and bookings, which makes finding the next leg quick on a small screen. When I checked, it listed 18 Champions League matches.

It also gave me the second-fastest payout I recorded. The identity check took six hours, the longest in the top five, but once it was done my €50 MiFinity withdrawal was approved straight away and arrived 20 minutes after I asked for it. I’d paid in €50 by Visa debit.

Plan how you’ll get paid. Betibet doesn’t pay out to cards, so the options are MiFinity, crypto or bank transfer, and a bank transfer needs at least €200 and takes three to five days. There’s no GAA or horse racing.

There’s no store app, but you can save the site to your home screen on iPhone or Android and it opens full-screen. If you build accas every weekend, only Inky.bet adds more to them, and Betibet pays e-wallets almost as fast.

Combo boosts of up to 70% by sport

No card withdrawals; bank transfers need €200

MiFinity payout in 20 minutes

Festival Play is where club GAA punters should start. When I checked, it priced county championship football and hurling in eleven counties, from Kildare to Tipperary. Most matches had match result, to-win and handicap prices.

It runs as a mobile site on both phones. The Event Builder combines picks from one match into a single bet, and Combo Booster increases the price of pre-match accas.

Payouts are the weak point. I paid in €50 by debit card after a two-hour identity check, and the card withdrawal took about 12 hours. Cash out was also suspended once during a sharp in-play price swing, though it came back within the same match. There’s no horse racing.

Choose Festival Play if GAA is most of what you bet on. If you’d rather have your money back the same hour, Inky.bet or Hiperwin will suit you better.

Club football and hurling in 11 counties, with handicap prices

Puntit is the only one of the eight that prices real horse racing, and it’s the only one with an app in the App Store. On iPhone, I used the app; on Android, it runs as a mobile site.

The racing is thorough: it had 20 meetings on its card on 12 October 2026, including Roscommon and five UK tracks. Best odds guaranteed applies to UK and Irish races for bets placed from 9am on race day. Every race shows its each-way terms, and races with extra places or live streams are flagged on the racecard.

For football, it listed 211 markets on Coventry City v Newcastle United, the most I counted, and had the best draw price. Bet Builder+ lets you combine bet builders from different matches. Its minimum deposit is €5, the lowest here.

The catch is the payout. I deposited €50 by Visa debit, passed a two-hour identity check, and my Visa withdrawal took 52 hours, the slowest I recorded. GAA is limited to one outright market on the 2027 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Pick Puntit if racing is what you bet on and you can wait a couple of days for withdrawals.

Pros Cons

20 race meetings with best odds guaranteed

Outside the top five, TipTop Sports paid out to a debit card in about three hours, and RoyalistPlay Sports prices county club GAA alongside Festival Play. I checked Fanobet Sport on its site but didn’t test it with money.

How We Test Betting Apps

I test every bookmaker on the same two phones: an iPhone 15 running iOS 27.0.1 and a Samsung Galaxy S24 running Android 17 (One UI 9.0). My latest real-money tests took place on 13 October 2026 and covered Inky.bet, Betibet and Puntit. I retested Hiperwin, Festival Play, TipTop and RoyalistPlay during October 2026, and the results matched my earlier tests. Markets, offers and payment options were checked on 12 October 2026 from an Irish connection.

Where a bookmaker has a store app, I install it. Where it doesn’t, I open the mobile site in Safari and Chrome and add it to the home screen.

Our reviews draw on the sports-science analysis Topend Sports has published since 1997. I use it to judge the live stats, form guides and racecards in each app: would the numbers on screen actually help you read a match or a race before you bet? You can read more in our science based betting guides.

Each bookmaker I tested with real money went through the same nine checks:

  1. Confirm it’s genuine: the developer name in the App Store, or the bookmaker’s own web address for a mobile site
  2. Time the identity checks: from document upload to approval
  3. Test speed and stability: during busy live periods
  4. Check navigation: including how the bet slip behaves when prices move
  5. Compare markets and prices: on the same fixture across bookmakers
  6. Use cash out and the bet builder: wherever they’re offered
  7. Count the Irish markets: GAA and Irish racing
  8. Deposit and withdraw: with a payment method used in Ireland
  9. Find the safer gambling tools: and set them up

Native App or Mobile Site, Which Is Better?

With these eight bookmakers, the choice is mostly made for you. Puntit is the only one with a store app, and only on iPhone. Everything else, including Puntit on Android, is a mobile site.

In-play performance varied more between bookmakers than between app and site. The quickest in-play bet I placed was on Hiperwin’s mobile site, at about four seconds. I didn’t time Puntit’s app in-play, and with one store app among the eight, I can’t say whether apps are faster in general.

Betting App Features That Matter

Cash out, in-play speed, streaming and each-way terms varied most between the eight.

Cash Out and Bet Builder

Cash out settles a bet before the event ends. A bet builder combines several selections from one match into a single price.

  • Bet builders: Inky.bet’s Bet Builder tab had 42 markets on Coventry City v Newcastle United. Puntit’s Bet Builder+ joins bet builders from different matches, and Festival Play calls its version Event Builder.
  • Cash out: it worked without a suspension every time I used it at Inky.bet and Betibet on 13 October 2026. Festival Play suspended it once during a sharp in-play price swing and brought it back within the same match. Fanobet doesn’t offer cash out.

In Play Betting

In-play prices move with every score, so a slow bet slip can cost you the price you wanted. Hiperwin’s bet slip confirmed my bets in about four seconds. TipTop’s slip refreshed live prices within three seconds, so the price you see is the price on offer. Our live betting explained guide covers how live odds move.

Live Streaming

Puntit is the only one of the eight with live video, and only for racing: its racecards mark which races are streamed. I found no streaming at Inky.bet, Hiperwin, Betibet or Festival Play in October 2026, our reviews found none at TipTop or Fanobet, and RoyalistPlay showed only live scores from a logged-in account on 15 October.

Instead of video, most of them offer a match tracker or stats panel: a Tracker on Inky.bet and Hiperwin match pages, a pitch-view tracker at RoyalistPlay and a Statistics tab at Betibet.

Request a Bet, Full Cover and Each Way

Request a Bet lets you ask for a price the bookmaker doesn’t list. Full-cover bets combine your selections in every possible way: a Yankee is 11 bets on four selections (six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold), and a Lucky 15 adds the four singles.

For racing, each-way terms are what count, and only Puntit prices horse racing among the eight. On 12 October 2026 it paid 1/5 the odds for three places at Musselburgh and 1/4 for three places at Yarmouth, and it flags extra-place races on its racecards.

Check your returns before you stake with our betting calculators.

Odds Quality, Data and Speed

On 12 October 2026, I compared the match prices for Coventry City v Newcastle United in the Premier League at five of the eight bookmakers.

Best Betting Apps by Sport

Which Is the Best GAA Betting App?

Festival Play Sport is the best of the eight for GAA. On 12 October 2026 it priced county club championship football and hurling in eleven counties, with match result, to-win and handicap prices on most matches. Loughrea v Craughwell in the Galway hurling had four markets, including a 3-way handicap.

RoyalistPlay Sports also prices county club GAA. Puntit lists a single GAA market, the outright for the 2027 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, and the other five have no GAA at all.

For more on what to back, see our Gaelic football betting markets and hurling betting markets guides.

Which Is the Best Betting App for Horse Racing?

Puntit Sport is the racing pick, and the only one of the eight that prices real horse racing.

  • Coverage: 20 meetings on its card on 12 October 2026, including Roscommon and five UK tracks.
  • Best odds guaranteed: on UK and Irish races, for bets placed from 9am Irish time on race day. None of the other seven offers it.
  • Racecards: each-way terms on every race, with extra-place and streamed races flagged.

The drawback is the payout: a Visa withdrawal took 52 hours in my test. You can compare more racing markets in our Irish horse racing betting guide.

Which Football Betting App Performs Best?

Inky.bet Sport is our football pick.

  • Coverage: 995 football events on 12 October 2026, including the Premier League, Champions League, LaLiga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, MLS and the Copa Libertadores. The League of Ireland wasn’t listed.
  • Bet builder: 42 markets on Coventry City v Newcastle United.
  • Prices: the best price on both teams in my comparison.
  • Accas: Global Express Boost adds up to 100% to accumulator winnings.

Betibet Sports is the alternative for acca builders, with boosts of up to 70% and market tabs that make picking legs quick. Find more in our football betting guides.

Welcome Offers and Free Bets on Betting Apps

An “up to” figure is the most you can get. With a 100% match, you only get the full amount if you deposit it, so €100 in at a “100% up to €500” bookmaker earns €100. The bonus then has to be bet a set number of times, at a minimum price, before you can withdraw it. Most of these offers are paid as free bets, and Puntit’s and Betibet’s terms say a free bet returns your winnings but not the stake.

You claim each offer on your phone the same way as on a computer; any code goes in on the deposit screen. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 has rules on inducements such as free bets, but those sections weren’t in force when I checked.

  • Inky.bet Sport: free bets of 100% up to €500 on your first deposit and up to €750 on your second. Activate in My Bonuses first; €20 minimum; bet the bonus 6 times (then 5) at 1.50 or more within 15 days.
  • Hiperwin Sport: no sports offer. The advertised 100% up to €200 (€20 minimum) is a casino bonus and can’t be used on sports bets.
  • Betibet Sports: 100% up to €1,500, released in stages as free bets as you bet at 1.30 or more within 30 days, plus a 10% free bet up to €100 on a first deposit over €20. Free bets are used at 1.01 to 2.00 and expire after five days.
  • Festival Play Sport: 100% up to €500 with code FESTIVAL500. €10 minimum; bet the bonus 10 times at 1.80 or more within 21 days; Asian handicap and enhanced-odds bets don’t count.
  • Puntit Sport: 100% up to €100 in free bets. Opt in and deposit €20 or more within 30 days of joining; bet the deposit plus bonus 5 times at 2.00 or more within 7 days; winnings capped at €500.
  • Fanobet Sport: 100% up to €300 on your first deposit and up to €500 on your second. €20 minimum; bet the bonus 6 times at 1.40 or more (then 5 times at 1.50 or more) within 30 days.
  • TipTop Sports: free bets of 100% up to €350 plus 30 casino spins on your first deposit, and up to €500 plus 50 spins on your second. Activate in My Bonuses first; €25 minimum; bet the bonus 6 times (then 7) at 1.40 or more within 30 days.
  • RoyalistPlay Sports: 100% up to €100 with code WELCOME100. €10 minimum; bet the bonus 16 times at 1.80 or more within 21 days.

These are the sports offers as listed on 12 October 2026.

Android and iPhone Betting Apps

Puntit Sport is the only one of the eight you can download, and only from the App Store. It has no Irish Google Play listing, so Android users bet through its mobile site.

For every other bookmaker, you open the site in Safari or Chrome. To make it feel more like an app, add it to your home screen:

  • iPhone: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  • Android: in Chrome, open the menu and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

It then opens full-screen from its own icon. Don’t install an APK file or a store app for a brand that doesn’t publish one; start from the bookmaker’s own site instead.

Push notifications power price-movement alerts, but they can also encourage impulsive betting. Only Puntit’s app can send them, so decide whether you want them when you install it.

How to Download a Betting App in Ireland

The steps below cover both cases: Puntit’s iPhone app, and the mobile site for everyone else.

1. Search the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

On iPhone, search the App Store for Puntit and check the listing reads “Puntit: Sport Betting & Casino” before you install. There’s no Irish Google Play listing for any of the eight, so on Android, and for the other seven bookmakers, type the site’s address into your browser.

2. Install the app

Tap Get in the App Store. For a mobile site, add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome for the same one-tap access.

3. Register your account and complete KYC verification

You must be 18 or over to bet in Ireland. You’ll be asked for ID and proof of address, and in my tests the checks took from 24 minutes at TipTop to six hours at Betibet and RoyalistPlay.

4. Set a deposit limit before funding your account

Set a daily, weekly or monthly limit first. At Inky.bet it’s in your account settings; at some bookmakers you’ll need to ask support. Then choose a payment method from the table under Deposits and Withdrawals in a Betting App, checking how you’ll be paid out, since not every bookmaker pays out to a card. Our guide to Irish deposit and withdrawal methods compares the options.

5. Review the responsible gambling tools before your first wager

Find the time-out, reality check and self-exclusion options so you know where they are if you need them.

New to betting? Our how to bet guide and reading odds guide cover the basics.

Deposits and Withdrawals in a Betting App

Credit cards have been banned for betting in Ireland since 5 February 2026 under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024. The eight bookmakers take debit cards, e-wallets and, at three of them, crypto, but not all of them pay out to a card.

Pros and Cons of Betting Apps

Pros Cons

You can bet the moment a price moves, wherever you are.

Having a bookmaker in your pocket makes impulsive bets easier.

In-play bets go through quickly, in about four seconds at Hiperwin.

Money spread across several apps is harder to keep track of. Our bankroll management guide shows how to set and stick to a budget.

Payouts can be fast: 11 minutes at Inky.bet and 20 at Betibet.

Licensing and Player Safety in Ireland

Betting is legal in Ireland and regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), set up under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024. GRAI remote betting licences took effect on 1 July 2026, replacing the remote bookmaker’s licences previously issued by the Revenue Commissioners.

On 12 October 2026, I checked each bookmaker’s site against the GRAI licence register. Where a site names no licence, the table gives what the regulator’s own register lists. Text in quotation marks is the bookmaker’s wording.

Responsible Gambling in Ireland

Set your limits before your first bet, not after a bad run. These are the tools worth setting up on day one:

  • Deposit limit: a daily, weekly or monthly cap on what you can pay in (see step 4 of the download guide).
  • Time-out: a break of a day to a few weeks.
  • Reality check: a pop-up showing how long you’ve been betting.
  • Self-exclusion: closes your account for a set period. Ireland’s national self-exclusion register, planned under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, isn’t running yet, so you have to self-exclude at each bookmaker separately.

Many banks also let you block card payments to gambling sites from their app. The block covers every bookmaker at once, which helps if you hold more than one account.

Chasing losses, betting more than you planned, borrowing to bet or hiding it from the people close to you are all signs it’s time to stop. Betting Apps Ireland FAQ

What is the best betting app in Ireland?

Inky.bet Sport came out on top in my October 2026 tests, with a €50 withdrawal arriving 11 minutes after I requested it. It doesn’t cover GAA or horse racing, so Festival Play Sport is the better choice for GAA and Puntit Sport for racing.

What is the best betting app for horse racing and Cheltenham?

Puntit Sport, the only one of the eight that prices real horse racing. It had 20 meetings on its card on 12 October 2026 and offers best odds guaranteed on UK and Irish races from 9am on race day; check its terms for any Cheltenham-specific offers before the festival.

Do I need to download an app to bet on my phone?

No. Seven of the eight bookmakers here run as mobile sites in your browser, and Puntit Sport is the only one with a store app, on iPhone.

Are betting apps in Ireland legal?

Yes, betting is legal in Ireland for anyone 18 or over. Before you join, check the licence a bookmaker holds; the table under Licensing and Player Safety in Ireland lists it for all eight.

Which betting app has the best odds and markets?

No single bookmaker wins on everything. On Coventry City v Newcastle United, Inky.bet had the best price on both teams, Puntit had the best draw price and Puntit also listed the most markets (211).

What is the best app for value betting?

The one with the best price on the bet you want, which changes from bet to bet. In my comparison match, the draw ranged from 3.50 at Betibet to 3.75 at Puntit, so it’s worth checking before you place a bet.

What safer gambling tools do Irish betting apps include?

Most offer deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion. Ireland’s national self-exclusion register isn’t running yet, so self-exclusion works one bookmaker at a time.

What is the minimum deposit on Irish betting apps?

Puntit has the lowest, at €5, though you need €20 for its welcome offer. The highest among the eight is €20, at Inky.bet, Hiperwin, Betibet, Fanobet and TipTop.

Can I use Apple Pay on betting apps in Ireland?

Puntit is the only one of the eight that takes Apple Pay both ways, with withdrawals stated at 1 to 3 banking days. Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop accept it for deposits only, so your winnings go back by another method.

I analyse betting markets across the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and the UK for football, American football and basketball, with a particular focus on major international football tournaments.
